Our school

Hajira Mina Walizada ESA Girls’ School

Qarghayi, Laghman Province, Afghanistan

Opened in September 2024, the Hajira Mina Walizada ESA Girls’ School currently serves approximately 300 girls through Grade 6. The school is operating with limited classroom space, sanitation facilities, furniture, and electricity. Because space is limited, students attend in shifts. ESA is working to strengthen the school and improve the learning environment for the girls it serves.

What we do

Education and dignity must not disappear during crisis

ESA's work spans multiple areas of humanitarian support, guided by that one core principle.

Girls' education

Learning materials, informal classes, reading circles, and community-based programs that allow learning to continue even when formal schooling is limited or unavailable.

Women's support

Hygiene kit distributions at ESA facilities, held on separate occasions and delivered with dignity, privacy, and care — with transportation coordinated so women return home safely.

Orphan support

Addressing basic needs, educational access, and emotional well-being through trusted local care networks.

Winter aid

Warm clothing, blankets, and seasonal relief to help families endure extreme conditions during harsh winters.

Emergency relief

Quick, direct support during earthquakes, displacement, and other urgent humanitarian situations.

Family assistance

Community-based aid for families facing food insecurity, displacement, and financial hardship, responding to real conditions on the ground.

Each program adapts to local realities and is delivered through trusted partnerships and direct outreach, ensuring support reaches those who need it most with care, responsibility, and respect.
